Hello, I am back with my fourth installment in my
blog series which is detailing the five basketball players that have given me a
different outlook on the game of basketball. The fourth basketball player I
will be talking about in this blog series will be an NBA soon to be Hall of
Famer LeBron James. LeBron James right now is the best basketball player in the
NBA and to some he is the best basketball player to ever play the game. In the
2003 NBA draft LeBron James was drafted number one overall by the Cleveland
Cavilers straight out of high school. In the seven seasons he spent with the
Cavilers LeBron led the Cavilers to the NBA Finals, and won two Most Valuable
Player awards but could not win the championship. That was the one thing that
was holding LeBron back from being considered one of the greatest players in
the NBA history. Not just being one of the greatest players in the history
players in the NBA, but being the best to ever do it. LeBron James is a freak
of nature. At 6’8” 250 pounds LeBron is still one the fastest players in the NBA,
he might be the best athlete regardless of sport. In the summer of 2010, LeBron
James decided that he wanted to sign with the Miami Heat so he could win
multiple championships with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Their first season they
reached the NBA Finals nut could not finish the job with a NBA championship
against the Dallas Mavericks. Heartbroken, LeBron James made it his mission to
reach the NBA finals the next year and win it. He did exactly that with the win
over the Oklahoma City Thunder in five games in the 2012 NBA Finals. LeBron was
awarded the Most Valuable Player award and the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player
award as well. LeBron would go on to win this year’s MVP award, Finals MVP
award and NBA Finals championship once again, but this time it was against the
San Antonio Spurs in seven heart thrilling games. LeBron James will go down in
history as one of the best players in NBA history, if not the best ever. He is
one of my all-time favorites just because everything he can bring your team
offensively and defensively. If he isn’t the best player to ever play the game
of basketball he has to be a close second in my opinion.
